Setagaya Municipal Yoga Complex

Setagaya Municipal Yoga Complex is a complex facility consisting of "Setagaya Yoga Nursery School," "Setagaya Yoga Branch Office," and "Yoga Anshin Sukoyaka Center" as a base of activities to meet the demand for childcare, to support the elderly and local community, and in times of disaster, in accordance with the public facility development policy. The site is located in the Tamagawa district in the southern part of Setagaya Ward, with the government office building consisting of the Yoga Branch Office of Setagaya Ward and Yoga Anshin Sukoyaka Center on the east side where there is heavy pedestrian traffic, and the entrance of the Setagaya Nursery School on the west side facing a residential road. The nursery school yard is enclosed on three sides by the building in order to reduce the impact of noise on the residential side while ensuring a calm nursery environment by blocking vehicle noise from Yoga Nakamachi Street as much as possible. The nursery playrooms have top lights, and the nursery rooms and sub-branch corridors have high sidelights to maximize the use of natural light and reduce the air conditioning load by minimizing the area of openings in consideration of the influence of the western sun.
