HEISHIN Ltd. Shiga Factory New Production Management Building

This is a new building for the Shiga Works of a manufacturer of rotary single screw pumps that achieve pulsation-free, fixed-volume transfer. We aimed for a precise expression and environmental architecture befitting a company that handles precision parts and is committed to environmental ISO. The design emphasizes horizontal lines through the use of deep eaves, which are effective in keeping out light and snow, and glass louvers with die-cast brackets. However, in order to attract attention from the Hokuriku Expressway, cylinder-shaped glass surfaces were added at the corners. The middle level consists of a spiral-up space that serves as a product exhibition space, with products arranged separately according to their industrial use. The upper level consists of an office floor and reception area, with a view of the mountains to the north of the lake. ZEB (Zero Energy Building) is achieved by circulating groundwater for air conditioning.
