Concept
This is an earthquake reconstruction housing for the elderly affected by the Great Hanshin Earthquake, to which the Silver Housing program is applied. The site is located in the Takatori Agency area along the JR Kobe Line, which was originally disposed of by Kobe City as a municipal housing site by the former Japanese National Railways. The project was planned in cooperation with a social welfare corporation that operates a special nursing home for the elderly located approximately 400 meters to the northwest.
To enable the elderly to live independently, safely, and comfortably, an emergency call system has been installed to confirm their safety, and certain services, such as lifestyle counseling and emergency response by lifestyle support staff, are available, and barrier-free access is taken into consideration. The first floor is designed to encourage the formation of a community among the residents by providing a corner for social gatherings.
