SOLTE Shiraniwadai

Concept

This is a facility in front of a new station. We discussed the store allocation, the flow of the people from the station, the visibility of the stores from the rotary and street, and the space for a pocket park. The building is simple with many functions, with a curvy form to match the station next to it. We also blended the laid-back feeling from the nearby residential area, and the vibrancy of Osaka into the design by interweaving wooden panels with the glass walls. The glass walls enable people to see the inside; creating a friendly and bright atmosphere. The overall image is open, spaciously and visually, as a scenic architecture appropriate for a new city full of future.
