Concept
The library was constructed as a commemorative project for the 10th anniversary of the founding of this unique and socially relevant university, which has two departments: the Department of Life and Culture and the Department of Human Welfare. Taking advantage of the difference in level between the approach from Daigaku-mae Station and the entrance to the main building, the entrance was placed on the ground floor and the first floor, respectively, and the first floor was planned as a reading room and the basement as a browsing area for newspapers and magazines. The library, composed of glass, extruded molded cement board and galvanized steel mullions, forms a calm space with Scandinavian wooden furniture in an open and bright environment.
