Kyusyu University Ito Campus Student Residence, Dormitory II

Concept

This student dormitory consisting of 274 units was established on the new campus of Kyushu University. The dormitory was designed to provide a space where students can experience the joy of growing up together with many of their peers through communal living, as they spend the sensitive period of their lives as they leave for society on their own. The common corridors are arranged to take advantage of the views of the campus to the east, west, and south, and are intended to be a space where everyone can naturally gather and interact. The ninth and top ten floors are designed to accommodate large households, such as researchers and foreign students who bring their families from other prefectures or abroad.
