Teradacho Station Bicycle Parking

Concept

JR Teradacho Station is one of the most frequently used stations for bicycles. This project aims to make effective use of space in a limited site in the center of Osaka City through an efficient bicycle parking plan with a clear flow line. The surrounding area is residential, so the design is friendly and contributes to the formation of an urban landscape. In particular, to prevent noise pollution, the building adopts a ceiling sound-absorbing board and highly sound-absorbent flooring material to prevent sound insulation and reverberation to neighboring areas, in response to bicycle braking and tipping noises and bumping sounds generated during management. In addition, to prevent the building from becoming a crime hotbed, highly permeable exterior walls have been adopted to ensure a clear view of the interior and privacy of surrounding residences, and effective natural lighting and ventilation have been planned to make the space bright and easy to use.
