Concept
This is a plan for an assisted living residence and senior day care center that can provide services in cooperation with an group home across the front road operated by Hokusetsu Welfare Research Institute. While retaining day services, we considered rational flow lines and room layouts that are user-friendly for residents, visitors, management, and employees. The residential portion of the building was designed to be a community house, not an institution, with lounges on each floor, a lobby in front of the entrance, and other areas where all residents can enjoy each other's company, aiming to create a livable residence that provides opportunities for communication and private space. The exterior walls around the entrances and exits are covered with stone, and synthetic wood louvers are used to hide the outdoor units and gutters, creating a warm and inviting design.
